Does what it should

I'm a Gibson guy and this is my first non-Gibson I've bought, and was only purchased because of my following of 'Volbeat', in my opinion one of the greatest bands ever. However back to the instrument, first thing I noticed was the perfectly slim profiled neck, it just sits so well and certainly as good as any of my Gibsons. The neck is solidly bolted to the lightweight body, and won't be moving on you anytime soon.The body has a nice finish to it and it's definitely purple. The 5 position pick up selector was a bit of a let down as I find it too easy to miss P2 & 4, although this might be a 'me thing'.Love the two control knobs, Volume/Tone as these are wonderfully machine turned and give great control. Wanted this guitar to add that 'Volbeat' deep crunchy growl, a tone heard in a lot of their music, I have an amp set purely to their sound, both my Les Paul 60's and Gary Moore sig sounded ok on it, but when I plugged this one in it came into it's own and I can see why Rob wanted the pick-ups he had put in. On general sounding, those of us who own 'higher end' kit won't be abandoning them for this anytime soon, but for the price would satisfy a new player totally across the board. Prior to delivery I was expecting this to hit maybe a 7/10 on my scale, but gotta say it's a definite 8/10. Keep Rockin Dudes.

Als Volbeat Fan hatte ich mir damals schon die ESP LTD Rob Caggiano Signature bestellt und war voll begeistert. Leider war das Jackson Signature Modell lange nicht mehr im Sortiment. Deshalb auch einen großen Dank an Thomann, dass ihr die Bestellung ermöglicht habt. Wie damals wurden auch hier meine Erwartungen erfüllt.

Die Lackierung ist super gelungen und wirkt sehr edel. Die Hardware, die hier verbaut wurde, hat ebenso eine sehr hohe Qualität. Der dünne Hals und das sauber verarbeitete Griffbrett machen jedes Solo zum Genuss. Die beiden Humbucker haben ebenso Dampf ohne Ende und durch die Locking Tuners verstimmt sich die Gitarre kaum.

Klar merkt man an Gewissen Ecken und Enden einen Unterschied zu höherpreisigen Gitarren, jedoch bin ich mit dem Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis vollstens zufrieden.

Im Großen und Ganzen eine Gitarre, die sowohl für gemütliche Cleansounds, aber eben auch für richtige Metal und Hardrock Scheiben die perfekten Klänge bereit hält. Mit einer außergewöhnlichen Bauform ein Hingucker auf jeder Bühne.
