Amazing bass with amazing sound which suits many different styles!
This bass was the first one that I bought and now that I'm on a quite good level (quite far in my studies) I've noticed how good this bass truly is.
The sound has amazing depth and the low E-string simply resonates so well and sounds like a proper bass. I think the original strings were not too bad but I switched to Belcanto strings and they sound even better.
The bass is good for solo playing and even better for orchestra. This bass can create the same sound as two mediocre basses there because of how it sounds. For solo playing the strings might be a little bit too high, but a quick visit to your local luthier should fix that small problem. (the upside to that is that you get stronger fingers haha)
The bass sounds amazing in the higher range aswell.
There is only one noticable downside to this bass. The endpin. It's not the worst endpin, but it can get stuck depending on the temperature (I think) and will make an annoying/disturbing sound if it isn't in the correct spot (the pin has dents, which you lock the endpin with)
