AKG WMS 40 Mini Instrument ISM1 UHF Wireless System with Bodypack
I ordered this item approximately a month ago, which arrived within 4 days, great service. I found it easy to set up within minutes and was very impressed by the quality of the product. The transmitter was sturdily built made of a strong plastic. I very much liked the detachable cable from the unit to the guitar making it easy to transfer if necessary to another frequency unit if required or even another guitar via the same strap if you use strap-locks on your guitars . It has built in battery indicator led to let you know if it requires changing, there is also one on the receiving unit. The battery is a "AA" size which with over 30 hours use is still going strong . I also like the mute switch which is combined in the on/off switch, very convenient.
The receiver unit is very robustly made of metal with as mentioned previously a battery low indicator led plus a "pairing led to indicate you are connected, and another power on led and switch. I personally could not detect any loss of tone or volume after I set it up. The range was excellent which would cover a large stage with no problem. If any improvements could be made, I would say perhaps a detachable transmitter aerial would have been nice for convenience of safe transportation. A thicker lead to connect to the guitar would have been a bonus to minimize any breakage that may occur through rough handling .
All in all a great product. I would certainly recommend to any guitarist considering going wireless. Backed by Thomann 3 year Guarantee and 30 day satisfaction, Why buy from Thomann..because I have bought from this family run company before who is always my first port of call when I wish to purchase equipment, I am NOT affiliated to Thomann an any way, but always found them to be totally reliable!

No Problems here
I have 2 of these. I use one for a keytar and the other for an electric violin. I've never had any problems with range or sound quality. I have the one on my keytar tar clipped onto the strap. I have the one for my violin clipped on to my belt. The only draw back is if I'm playing at a venue where there's a frequency clash between the house PA mic and one of my wireless systems. I just go back to using a lead, this happens very seldom. Apart from that its fine and good value for money.

Not bad for the money
Overall seems fairly good. It doesn't have the range of the Samson Airline, and doesn't seem to have the same quality, but then again it was half the price. I don't like the fact that there is a unique Jack lead, I would prefer a normal jack to jack. I heard a crackle one or two nights, but nothing conclusive. I'm not sure if it's the lead, or radio feedback, or if it's this unit at all, so nothing major to worry about. All in all, I'd still recommend.

maybe for high gain guitar players...
For bass guitar? forget it... It just cuts to much away from the tone. If you play high gain-"wall of noise" style ... maybe this will do the job.

Addition to my ASM2+3
Long battery life on a single rechargeable AA, enough range for large stage and a pack that can be mounted to the strap.
Only weakness is the antenna on the transmitter, can be fixet by opening the unit and fixate it with a drop of hot glue.
We use all 3 of them in the band plus a wireless mic without any issues.

Reliable gear
This is a very good quality piece of kit, and very reliable. The gain control on the transmitter pack is a bit fiddly, but the gain knob on the receiver is good. The AKG has a large dynamic range, and also features a red clip light on the receiver unit... very useful!

I recommend it because it is of good quality and it's mini so all is small! in case you don't like big thing! I bought many of them and will do again! :)

Cheap build, hiss, fixed frequency makes it unusable
So I bought this item mainly because of the price, and the fact that it had great reviews.
I ordered 3 systems for me and my band mates to use for our guitars, only to realize that the system has a fixed frequency that is unchangeable. That to me is ridiculous. This automatically meant that I can't use it with my band mates, as soon as a second unit would power up there would be horrible interference.
We decided we'll keep one anyway for our bassist to use. The problem was whenever he struck a note there would be an accompanying hiss with it. Every time he'd play something, there would be horrible hiss. So, naturally we ditched that one too and we're sending all of them back to Thomann.
Also, the build quality is poor and honestly wouldn't trust using something like this in a professional situation.
Conclusion: if you need something professional, just invest more and buy a decent wireless system.

Not worth it
The quality of the sound was pretty bad, even non-musicians could tell the difference when I was using a guitar cable or when i was using this.
Save some money, go for something better
