Easy to handle
The HDL 10-A is a medium-sized line array module from RCF that is simple to set up and allows professional users to easily provide the necessary sound pressure in small event locations. This speaker is slightly bigger than the 6-A model, and unlike other line arrays creates a fairly expressive sound experience across the bass and treble frequencies. It can be finely angled for nuanced positioning, with the housing being relatively small and lightweight. Various flying frames are optionally available, ensuring that the system's wavefront reaches the audience at any time. What is more, RCF has conveniently pre-installed some presets for everyday sound reinforcement situations, and a glance at the DSP menu shows that there are many more adjustment options available than just the array length.

Presets for everyday use
With a maximum SPL value of 133dB, each HDL 10-A is geared up to provide plenty of sound pressure from 65Hz up to 20kHz. An optimised sound experience is ensured by numerous presets, including indoor and outdoor options, array length, air absorption when the distance to the audience increases, and the degree to which the array is angled. Driven by a two-channel digital amplifier and boosting with 1400W peak and 700W continuous output, the two 8" woofers with internally/externally wound 2" voice coils, as well as a 2" high-frequency driver with a 2.5" voice coil kicking in from 800Hz, are responsible for the HDL 10-A's precise sound fidelity. The woofer's fibre-reinforced membrane is water-repellent and is housed in a double-rolled beading.

Intense sonic experience
With an RCF line array equipped with the HDL 10-A modules, event organisers can deliver a powerful and precise sound for small venues. Thanks to its high maximum sound pressure level, the woofer will withstand even heavy-duty use during live concerts, while at the same time ensuring clear voice reproduction for musical producers and theatre artists. Open-air event organisers will benefit from a sound-optimising outdoor preset, and live club owners can prevent overemphasised bass frequencies using the specially designed indoor sound setting. Technical service providers can combine all these different uses of the array, and will certainly appreciate the weight of only 20.4kg per speaker. While on the road, the cluster size can in turn be quickly adjusted to fit each location.

About RCF
In 1949 the Italian manufacturer RCF began to manufacture microphones and expanded its portfolio in the 1950s with a variety of sound reinforcement products. With the creation of its own development department for loudspeakers, RCF was able to make a name for itself and became a supplier to numerous well-known loudspeaker manufacturers in the USA and Europe. In 1970 the firm began to market its own in-house built hi-fi speakers which have since become part of their product range. From 1980 onwards, RCF has also focused on audio amplification for motor vehicles. Since 1990 the firm has been, and remains today, one of the major suppliers in the professional loudspeaker market.
Flying high
Speaker clusters composed of just a few HDL 10-A modules flown together are suitable for small venues and can be supported by the matching RCF HDL 10 A Fly Bar Lite, which can accommodate up to six modules. To round off the bass spectrum, the addition of an RCF Sub 8004-AS subwoofer is recommended, which is designed to complement the system and operates with a digital amp as well as DSP. A bigger event area or an audience area that slopes upwards or is divided into circles and stalls will require some additional speakers on the RCF HDL 10-A Fly Bar for a lot more focused sound intensity. The 18kg steel flying frame can support up to 16 modules arranged in an array, with the number of sub-basses being adjustable to suit the respective musical genre.
