I have found this Bergerault gong stand to be very well-built and easy to mount. The stand is very large (2m x 2m), so it could have been a stand with tricky stability. But, after mounting (and playing) five gongs (22"-30"-26" on the top floor / 32"-30" on the bottom floor) I can assert its stability, which is a very nice surprise. The built quality of the wheels is good, making it easy to move, even with the gongs in place, and overall this stand produces an impression of sturdy construction.

The icing on the cake: when playing the gongs, I have never heard a noise coming from this stand, which is often a problem with other gong stands. Good point for Bergerault here.

In summary, I would definitely recommend this Bergerault gong stand for serious work (orchestra), because it seems to be a fiable stand, very well-thought and constructed.

This is a difficult review because basically, one of the hooks snapped in half when I was playing a gong. Luckily, I was able to react and catch the gong before it fell on anything or got scratched. It was a Paiste 28" gong which are fairly light compared to some gongs. I have reported the problem to Thomann.
This stand is the second one of these I have bought. The metal finish on the hooks is visibly inferior to the previous one I bought about 2 years ago. Now that one of the hooks just fatigued, it puts serious doubts on the safety and quality of the stand. What if a €1000+ gong got damaged? What if it fell and hit someone?
Bergerault need to compare the quality of their stands now with those from 2 years back and find out how a metal hook can snap off.
A risky purchase now. Let's see how they respond - will provide updates.
