Nice, good sounding digital amp/profiler.
So I was looking for buying this since 2016. I was not sure I was need it, although I have heard only positive reviews on it. Of course, some will say that other "digital amp" is better, but I think every one of them is somehow best in its own field! I have always favorited Kemper after seeing Whitechapel band using it.
The most important factor was that I don't want to carry 5150 + Torpedo Live to every show. After few tours it occurred to me that any tube amp is just TOO heavy and carrying it can be a problem, especially day after day.
The Kemper is lightweight, after one day I was satisfied with my sound (I just used 5150 profile + added Graphical EQ before preamp acting like Clean Boost). Some people might say that it has not good onboard effects, but as I said earlier... it depends on usage. I really like natural amp sound of Kemper, and the onboard effects are enough for me. Like, I need maybe simple delay for solos, and reverb for clean?
It durable, lightweight, sounds surprisingly good. Everyone should keep in mind that it behaves like real amp so every guitar can change its sound, especially when we listen to some Profiles Demos, and we cannot expect that with our guitar it will sound exactly the same!
I was so bummed out at first that some profiled do not sound as good as others, but they just needed tweaking!
I use PowerAmp when I want to make some Stage Volume or on rehearsal when we do not use IEM.
The controls may seem very complicated, but I must admit that I got used to it very quickly. I am 200% faster than yesterday, I even prefer using Kemper controls instead of Rig Manager.
If my unit was stolen, I would buy second one asap.
