Perfect starter instrument for an under-8
Pros:
- Very nice tone
- Holds tuning fairly well
- Very lightweight but still sturdy enough to withstand being left in a toybox
- Very light action so suitable for small fingers
- Despite its short scale-length, it tunes to E-standard, so once your child starts to play properly. they're in the same key as you
- At this price, if your child loses interest, you've not spent a lot of money
Cons:
- The tone is very nice, so you'll be tempted to try and play it yourself, but big-man-hands won't fit very comfortably (if at all)
- Intonation isn't perfect (but if you need this to be perfect, you should probably spend a bit more not not expect wonders from a child's instrument)
This guitar is more than a toy, but is priced like one so if your wee-one is remotely interested (or you want to get them interested), you've nothing to lose.
The only thing I would suggest to anyone who buys it - use an open-tuning for the first while so when your child sits mindlessly strumming, it's at least vaguely tuneful.

For my Daughter
I bought this one for my daughter she's so happy it's pink!
I play guitar myself, so I didn't wanted to buy her a "toy". I wanted her to have something she can play with and also learn music with. It's a real guitar, just smaller than the regular one so it easier for a child. I recommend this instrument for a kid that wants to learn the guitar.

Unfortunately, it's impossible to tune this instrument anyhow. Some frets have signs of filing and their edges are knife-sharp.

expect what you pay for
bought for my kid to be "playing" while I'm playing...
Of course when you're used to a real instrument, this kid's toy doesn't stand a chance regarding intonation, sound projection...
But regarding the price, of course you should expect what you pay for
My kid loves it! and can play a duet with her DAD!

I read some reviews and was not sure what to expect from this one. Obviously this is not a good quality instrument but honestly it's already better than the one I had 25 years ago when I was learning. You can tune it and play it like a real guitar. The colour is beautiful and my daughter loves it, I would recommend it to anyone who wants their kids to start playing on a proper instrument, not a toy

Feels better than any toy guitar I've had in my hands before.
First of it's a 40 euro guitar, so you don't expect a lot, but when I took it out of the box I was actually impressed on the built quality. Very decent and solid guitar. Obviously it was severely out of tune and it did take me a while to get it right (lots of stretching went into that effort). Overall it stays in tune now quit okay. The intonation is a bit off but once you start soloing on it with adult hands you notice that it might be a bit too small to play comfortably! My little girl enjoys it a lot and it feels better than any toy guitar I've had in my hands before.

Good 4yo starter guitar
OK lets look at this for what it is a 30 euro guitar. Its not the greatest but to be honest for entry into guitar playing basics, holding the guitar, moving around and plucking, strumming its what you ask for and probably all i can ask of my 4yo daughter lol! She will move on quickly but its a nice keepsake.
Only negative is the underside of the frets needed a little sanding, not a great finish, the frets were a little sharp edges
