Cheap and powerless
Even though they look pretty nice and all, they're just that. Fun to look at.
Unimpressive details, weak mids and non existent lows under 80hz.
Even though I didn't have much expectations from them, I'd recommend spending a couple of dollars more and get something more decent.
Overall, would definitely not recommend them as they ar FAR from anything studio standard, but sound more like a small mid price Hi-Fi speakers.

Awesome speakers when I finally got a pair that worked perfectly
I think I had to return these 6 times, only one of those times was there a big problem where the speaker wasn't working correctly. My main issue was the standby feature, every once in a while it would not turn on the woofer amp when coming online from standby so all the power was routed to the tweeter until I restarted it or let it go to standby after 15mins.
Besides that I love these speakers, sturdy build that's perfect for my small studio setup. The passive radiators and small footprint is a great combination for small studio spaces, great mids that is the main thing to focus on when mixing in my opinion. The tweeters have a rather narrow focus so to hear them correctly you need to position youself perfectly between the speakers, but I don't mind since the mids are so nice and I only need to reference the highs for the final mixdown. They've got plenty of bass for the size, I even had to turn the bass down so I wouldn't drive my GF crazy and even then I can hear the bass well enough for a rough estimation of what's going on there, but for final mix I turn on my 8inch monitors.
So yeah great for everyday use, especially because of the standby function that automatically saves you power so you can just leave them on forever essentially. I'd assume they'd fixed the standy issue by now, if not then expect to send them back a couple of times before you get a 100% working pair.
