Mic usage in rap
Great microphone. Omni option great to use for second track of chorus (really check it) gives it this flat feeling frequency response like wall of sound with natural, larger reverb. I use omni for singing the most when I want to get rid of low frequency, omni gives that natural compression and less warmer, more airy sound.
Overall mic is great, has really stable low mid and low frequency, something other than Shure Sm7B that feels really unstable at this spectrum. Open sounding, really nice top end and better translation in mid range so your voice sits well on all devices.
Little bit to harsh in 3100-4150 spectrum. Maybe this is my voice resonant frequency? I don't know. Know that this is really vulnerable part of spectrum, just cut it will be fine.
I work something like 4 months with this mic and never brought up shure sm7b again. Now I save time on shaping/cutting/scupling the tone on shure sm7b muddy frequency.
