Amazing mixer
We have switch from a Mackie DL1608. To this Soundcraft UI24R.
The difference in sound has been quite remarkable. Vokals and instruments sound much better. The mixer is dead silent. The web-interface seems to have been inspired by the larger SI consoles. It easy to learn but start slow. Besides replacing the old mixer, we have been able to retire our rackmounted headphone amp, our rackmounted DI and our Presonus audio interface. Instead we now use the two headphone, the 2 Hi-Z input and built=in media player. The multitrack record and playback are easy to use. And a fantastic A / B tool for soundchecks.
The reason for giving 4 out of 5 is the built-in WiFi hotspot. One day it works like a charm the next day the iPads cannot find the built-in web server. We use it with IOS devices. For now we bring an extra router just in case, and macbook to hardwire via RJ45.
This is really the only problem we have seen so fat, and it should be solvable using an external router. But It is a Soundcraft the wifi should be as rock solid as the rest of the mixer. Based on what we know now, would we still choose this mixer? Yes without hesitation.

Complicated and recording on DAW starts from channel 11. This should be particular pointed out cause that was the very reason I ditched it in the first place. I had to figure out on some forum 1 year later that that was how it is. And yes usb recording is smart but I want to record in daws. Thats it,
All other issues ca be sorted me thinks. Fx this wifi prob.. Just buy a router and use 5ghz net instead of 2,4 ghz.
Soundwise its quite good for the money.
