Got it to work after some trouble
The jack of my Sandberg bass broke so I decided to change it my self. I got the new one to work but there were two problems. First, it was quite big and I barely could fit it in. Second, I could not get my bass to work in the active mode even though I tried multiple ways of soldering the wires. Of course i cannot blame the jack for my poor workmanship. Either I messed up the soldering or the jack is the wrong one for my bass. Anyway, it works decently in the passive mode.
