Linux Plug and Play !
I purchased the ESI U22 XT primarily because of its fully and seamless compatibility with Linux. My PC setup:
- Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon 64bit
- 4.13.0-32-generic kernel
- Intel Core i5-2400CPU @ 3.10GHz x 4
- 8Gb memory and 270Gb HD
Well, it really is plug and play: you plug the Esi U22 XT in your linux PC USB port and right away it recognizes it and shows on the sound devices. No drivers needed, no compiling, no hassle. Like lighting a match!
Doing some vinyl record digitizing using Audacity, and I am getting far superior mp3 results with the ESI U22 XT than with any previous sound cards.
I am extremely satisfied also with the output, that I have now connected to a hifi system, sounds amazing.
I honestly cannot see any negative side on this product.
I have not tested it on any Windows nor Apple system.
