Rode PSA-1

Rode PSA-1 gör dens jobb med att hålla mikrofonen på plats och inte flyga iväg, jag har läst att många har haft det problemet men min slutsats på det är att man behöver använda sig av lite tyngre mikrofoner som Audio-Technica AT 2035. Nackdelen jag har haft med denna mikrofon arm är att fjädern blir torr och armen låter när man drar upp eller ner den, den första jag hade tänkte jag inte så mycket på tills någonting knäcktes. Skickade in till reparation och fick tillbaka en fullt fungerande, ett halvår senare så händer samma sak men för att motverka att den ska låta och knäckas så sprutade jag lite 5-56 olja där fjädern sitter. Ljudet och motståndet gick bort totalt.

Balances the weight of a podcaster+FetHead+popguard perfectly. Stays where I want it and is easy to adjust. Had I not paid the quite steep asking price, quality-for-the-money would go up a star. Quality is nice, as is finish - but not premium. The desk clamp holds tight without damaging the table surface, but is in plastic - all metal construction is preferred at this price range. A discrete rattling from the inside can be heard when moving the arm. The rattling is not heard when the arm is static, but should ideally not occur at all in a microphone arm. Overall I am happy to have found an arm that balances the quite heavy podcaster with attachments and does not entirely break the bank. Really good for my combined home studio and home office, for daily use in online meetings and VO recording.

Jag skaffade denna studio arm för att arbeta vid mitt skrivbord och vill underlätta hanteringen av min Mikrofons position utan att behöva anstränga mig för mycket eller anpassa mig själv efter Mikrofonen. Denna Studio-armen underlättade något enormt och är väldigt lätt att manövrera. Något jag rekommenderar om man arbetar vid skrivbordet och skriver eller rör skrivbordet mycket är att skaffa ett Shockmount till för att minska vibrationerna som annars kan förstöra den inspelning man arbetar med.
Den är även väldigt lätt att montera och flytta vid behov. Jag använder denna tillsammans med Rode Procaster och Rode PSM1 och är helnöjd med denna produkten.

I have tested this with heavy microphones, with lightweight microphones, with all imaginable kinds of "Zoom" and pickups with broadcast quality. And I have tested it on old kitchen tables, modern desks (height adjustable or not), in hotel rooms and in all possible places in all conceivable studios. It has never failed, it is stable (an annoyance with any other stand och rod) and robust.Doesn't leave marks on any surface.
It is not the most aesthetic design, but who cares - it's so easy to hide away. Care must be taken when installing it (mind your fingers), but that goes for more expensive rods also.
I recommend it highly.
